DESCRIPTION
The thing we like most about this trail is you can get to it quickly on paved roads when you don’t have a lot of time. There are numerous small lakes the first three miles. We usually camp by the truck Friday evening and go for a day ride to fish the many close lakes. However, there are enough lakes to keep it interesting for an easy pack trip. This is a very popular trailhead but the woods just seem to swallow everybody up and it never seems crowded. Park and camp off the dirt road south of the Washington Lake group campsite and ride to the trail head.
DIRECTIONS
From Kamas drive east on the Mirror Lake Highway 150 about 26 miles. Turn left on the road to Trial Lake. Stay left at the next intersection and continue up the hill to the Washington Lake / Crystal Lake intersection. Stay left at this intersection and drive south to find a campsite off the dirt road.
